UPS- Unique Selling Point - the aspect(s) of a product that makes it standout from competitors  UGC- User Generated Content - the media content made by prosumers in the digital age. Any form of content - posts, images, videos, reviews, etc. - created by consumers on an online or social network.  Folksonomy- basically a system of sharing of ideas across an online community. What is social media measurement? Social media measurements is when the creator uses methods to then gather information on how popular the content they have posted have been, this is so then the creator can then  see if the content they post is effective to the audience or needs to be changed.  How can social media measurement aid audience response to a campaign? Some methods that a producer can measure the response from the audience can be through the likes on the post, shares, use of hashtags on the social media platform, comments section and the views on the post. To do this the producer could use the marketing agency's to see the responses on the content.  What tools could a marketing agency use to measure audience response to content? Task 4: Legal and ethical - Cultural

 Cultural censorship- of social media and the impact on media production (e.g. in China, North Korea, Turkey these places are dictatorships) 'free press' criticize 'government state' they want to stay incharge of their citizens. Don't allow Western social media.  Bias and ideology - ( .e.g. in terms of cultural distinction of social norms and marketing practice)  China, North Korea and Turkey and other places would not be able to distribute their products globally through social media for people outside these places don't use the same social media.  China social media  Biased - when one opinion overpowers another idea, can be that someone is interested in something so would favor it over other things.  Ideology - values, beliefs and viewpoint

Media regulation - this is when the media gets regulated by as company to make sure all content is appropriate and isn't offensive.  Media relates to social media - makes sure that regulating media content on Twitter, Facebook etc. (IPSO, ASA, Ofcom)  Theory does media regulation link to?  Regulation- (data protection act, self-regulation, freedom of speech verses inciting hate speech, injunctions, ISP role) Role of regulatory bodies- (independent Press Standards Organisation (IPSO), Ofcom) in production of online content) Personnel and sharing of online complaints- (staff complaint on social media)  Freedom of speech verses inciting hate speech- freedom of speech is where people can express their own opinions safely and without offending someone whilst inciting hate speech is where people post their hate speeches about certain topics that can offend people online.
