1a) Identify three possible problems media producers might face when using Twitter to market a digital media product.

- Twitter is a microblogging app

1 On Twitter there are limited characters to use so the company could not fully market the product properly because they can't write much about the product.

2 Twitter is mainly used for people to display their opinions meaning the post could be ignored by the audience. 

3 For users to see your posts about the products the company would need to build a following up for their product to be seen. 

(b) Explain one way that social media has contributed to a change in the way music is distributed. 

- Streaming services 
- Feature links to streaming content 
- Video on demand content
- Traditional distribution 
- Physical copies 
- Used to have to go to a shop to buy music and to gather music being physical but now can use social media to access it

Social media has contributed to a change in the way social media helps to distribute music globally for there is now the internet that can be used by the public to then access the content unlike when people had to go to a shop to access the content physically.  Social media allows for the prosumers to add links to their content on their social media pages, for example like KSI does with his latest soundtrack. 

(c) Explain two ways that social media can be linked to the change between the digital and traditional global distribution of media products. 

- Awareness of product can be spread more quickly 
- Globalisation - worlds getting smaller - global village 
- More money can be made, people are reached easier. 
- Products are also available online so can be shared for purchase more easily 

1 One way that social media can be linked to the change between the digital and traditional global distribution of media products is because social media makes it so that prosumers can distribute their products globally because social media is used globally relating to the global village, this makes the science more accessible and easier to reach with marketing.

2 Another method that social media links to the global distribution is because products can now be accessed online and can be purchased online, this can be done from a company such as NETFLIX giving a link on their social media posts to the new products so then the consumers can then click the link and purchase the media products easier. 

1(a) Identify three ways that social media allows producers to collaborate when working on a project. 

- Crowd funding (kickstarter)
- Crowd sourcing (linkedin)
- Prosumers coming together to create new ideas wikinomics 
- Global collaboration 

1 One method social media does this is by allowing producers to get crowd funding meaning the audience can then fund the products online globally, this can be done on Kickstarter.com
2 Another method would be through crowd sourcing which means the producer can use websites such as linkedin to gather a funding through the crowd and their marketing.
3 Another method could be by global collaboration which means the producers could collaborate with another producer to then gather funding.

(b) Explain one way that globalisation can support the production of digital media products.

- Sharing of ideas/ideology
- Sharing/ making profit globally 
- Sharing resources/assets/expense
- Soundcloud 

One way that globalisation can support the production of digital media products is through sharing ideas with other prosumers and producers this can then help with getting funding for a digital media product and can also then share their resources with the producers to then help the production of the media product to make the product. 

2 Identify two social media channels that can be used by a commercial media company. Explain how each can be used to advertise the company's products. Use examples to support your answer. 

- Commercial company - making a profit, things can be shared and purchased
- Access to larger audiences
- Reach a specific audience 
- Twitter
- Disney (Marvel movies) - movie countdowns (Loki series countdown on Instagram) 
- Warne Brothers (Harry Potter) - run a competition 
- Instagram - shared audio visuals, trailers, songs - real company, specific content showed. 

1 One way that social media channels can be used by a commercial media company to advertise the company's product would be through using Instagram where they can then post countdowns to the release of a product. For example Disney have used Instagram to post clips and a countdown to the WandaVision series, this keeps the audience up to date with the series information.

2 Another method that social media can be used by a commercial media company is through using Twitter, company's such as Amazon Prime use Twitter to advertise their products such as the premium package that the audience can buy. They also post promotional clips of the product to persuade the audience to purchase it. 

3(a) Explain one way that social media can be used to communicate ideology. 

- Cultural imperialism - one culture taking over others
- Beliefs, ideas and value systems
- Globalisation
- Web 2.0
- Instant communication 
- Ideology - peoples points of view/ opinions 
- Views on politics and news stories
- Piers Morgan - Twitter

One way that social media can be used to communicate ideology is through posting peoples own views and ideas about certain things, for example on Twitter Piers Morgan expresses her opinions on certain topics despite others not always agreeing, social media is used so people can then express their opinions and ideas globally. 

(b) Explain two advantages of using online project planning tools for media producers. Use examples to support you answers. 

- Save time
- Prevent hard drive lost/ data
- Don have to attend live meetings 
- Organise documentation
- Schedule meetings 
- Instance transfer - web share, cloud share
- Allow for real time editing and collaboration
- Store larger digital assets 

One advantage of using online project planning tools would be that multiple people would be able to access the same documents and be able to organise and schedule meetings on platforms such as Microsoft Teams, producers could then use this platform to have online meetings and keep a calendar that notifies everyone that's needed for the meeting. 
Another advantage of using online planning tools would be that producers can upload their content onto platforms such as Monday.com, which allows them to share their content with others and makes it easier to secure their content.
